The traveling exhibit arrived in 12 rolling crates. Volunteers helped set it up at the Ste. Genevieve Welcome Center. The children are from Sacred Heart School of Ozora, Missouri. They are doing an alphabet eye spy activity.

Listen to what more than 70 key professionals from Ste. Genevieve do at work every day, why it is important, how technology impacts their job, and how it connects to the local community. Thank you to our volunteers, Barbara Fitzgerald and Mary Peura, for arranging and conducting these interviews. Transcripts of the interviews are being produced. For information about receiving an interview transcript, please call 573-883-3105.

The Future of Work Poster
We involved every kindergarten and first grade student in the public schools of Ste. Genevieve County and the kindergarten, first, second, and some older grades in the Catholic schools of the county in predicting the Future of Work in Ste. Genevieve. Students answered the question: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” They drew themselves as adults engaged in their predicted occupation and they also made >a 10 second sound recording of their name, age, and desired occupation, which they received. The sound modules were purchased through a grant from the Missouri Humanities Council at a generous discount provided by AGC Sound. The lesson plans we created for this curriculum connection are available here: Curriculum Connection
